This course enables students to use safely and maintain common hand tools used in welding, as well as to identify and handle common welding materials. Topics include use and maintenance of grinding wheels, safe use of drills including sharpening and coolants, use and maintenance of layout tools files, hammers, chisels, hacksaws and wrap-arounds and correct use of sanders/polishers, drill press and an ironwork machine.
