Proposals are persuasive documents that are used to apply for funding or grants. Non-profit organizations and business owners alike apply to grants and funding with proposals to invest in their goals, project, and mission. There are several elements to writing a successful proposal including a clear project goal and budget, investing in relationships with potential funders, and mastering the writing process to clearly convey your ideas and meet funding agency requirements. This course will provide you with the skills to elevate your ability to create a winning proposal and further the advance your organizations missions and projects!
This one-day course will teach participants to:
· Identify funding sources and match funding to their projects
· Understand the importance of building relationships with funders and how to do it
· How to plan and budget for your project for a successful grant proposal
· Describe and understand the basic process of proposal writing
· Identify the most common reasons proposals are unsuccessful
· How to use tools to assist in proposal writing process
