Innovator to win $60K Yukon Innovation Prize

Please join us as we announce the 2016 winner of the Yukon Innovation Prize (YIP).

Cold Climate Innovation, of the Yukon Research Centre, and Government of Yukon have chosen a winning innovation that will be moved towards commercialization with benefits to the local economy.

The celebration will outline the winning product with opportunities to speak to the Yukon Innovation Prize winner, Minister Currie Dixon who will be standing in on behalf of Minister of Economic Development Stacey Hassard, as well as representatives from Cold Climate Innovation.

The second annual Yukon Innovation Prize attracted 29 submissions, each evaluated for their market and commercialization potential in agriculture or food security. In April, four finalists were chosen and each given $10,000 to further develop their ideas and compete for the grand prize of $60,000.
